I-45 * Automorrow * Vocal Polluter * The Crisis
I-45 - (Houston, TX) The band has 4 albums and many influences (A heaping helping of dirty South, a side of chunky science, a dash of groovy, washed down with a glass of hope...) and has toured with these fabulous acts:
KRS-1, Kid Rock, Linkin Park, Phunk Junkees, Buck-o-Nine, Blink 182, Wolfpac, 30footFALL, Bowling For Soup, Homegrown, Fenix, TX, Insane Clown Posse, At-The Drive In and many, many more.
But don't listen to us, here's what the "experts" think:
".....music to get up and get down to.." ...Rolling Stone
"....great songs to bump in your car...psychological terrorism".. Flipside Magazine
"...one must always expect the unexpected at an I-45 show." Houston Press
"...punk attitude, big noise, Jerky Boys meets LL Cool J in a Texas beer joint"...San Antonio Express-News
"...Houston's emerging music scene is exploding with utter passion and is reinventing the majesty of rock-n-roll."...The California Music Reader
Automorrow- (Ft. Worth, TX) Automorrow was formed in September of 2005, when producer Ben Napier, and his longtime friend and drummer Adam Reeves began to jam with guitarist Michael DuFault, from the North Texas ska band Censored. A fruitful one-off jam produced the seeds of the bands first few tunes and inspired them to start a real project around the unit. Since then the band has seen many bass players, many rehearsal spaces, and many exploding house parties. The bands’ unique blend of reggae, rock, hip-hop, and electronica aims to provide something for any and every listener to grab hold of.
Vocal Polluter (Houston, TX) - Vocal Polluter is a Hip Hop group From Houston, Texas. It is comprised of Skittle Kid, Krunch Tyme, and DJ Creap.Big ups to our producer Prodigal Son and Firecracker Entertainment.Going to keep the info short n sweet for now.I know a lot of bands dig on what they have accomplished in the past, and their history.Right now, all we can see is the future, and making heads knock at every show.So...to best sum shit up,in the words of the Beastie Boys "You think this story's over but it's ready to begin".
The Crisis (Pasadena TX) - Originally from Pasadena, TX, THE CRISIS has stormed on the scene as one of the most elcletic and energetic bands of the South. Pure charisma and charm separate this band from the rest of a hungry pack of talent. As the singer/guitarist Brian (BC) Carrion says,"We just like to play music, we don't know anything else or want to know anything else. We know that we have something to offer a music enthusiast - something different. We're not, nor do we endorse, the same ol' bullshit."
In May 2009 the band released their first full-length album, Emergency Medicine, an intentional departure from a traditional Rock album. The disc boasts traditional tracks of "Pigeon Hole", "Sweet Medusa" and "the Fire", while side stepping along genres for songs like "I'm So Tired" (country) and "Brown Chicken Brown Cow" (funk). The funk song containing a verse by local Suburban King - DeeWilla. Also included on the album is an amazing cover of Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana." .
THE CRISIS has been on a perpetual tour since the summer of 2005, stopping only to eat and sleep. The total number of shows played by the band is rumored to be in the 1000's, a true testament to the strength and virility of THE CRISIS.
A team full of skilled musicians, the Crisis is filled out by George Thomas, III (Full Moon Circus) from Jackson, MS and by Charlie Carlisle (Faceplant) from Pasadena. Carrion and Thomas sing so well together they are often mistaken for brothers as their facial hair and vocal patterns are similar. Though they are only one month apart from birth, they are not related through blood, but through music. Both of them in their mid-twenties as the fronting faces of the band.
THE CRISIS music is for fans of music and lyrics that are not just thought-provoking, but socially conscious. The band believes that ordinary music can be made easliy, but extraordinary music must be grown and cultivated with society in order to be poignant.
A truly unique and exciting experience. THE CRISIS is the future of musical entertainment. A true INTERVENTION to the country's music scene.
