The Bad Ones

The Bad Ones - (Houston/Austin, TX) Rising from the demise of Houston punk scene staple the Ballistics, The Bad Ones is fully comprised of former members of that band: the former bass player Kelly Jacobs, the former drummer Casey Kemp, and the sometimes singer..sometimes bassist “Shakey” James. Three lifelong friends, we got back together following a two year hiatus after the dissolution of the Ballistics, because we missed each other and wanted to play again. Hailing from the great state of Texas we assemble a blend of punk, indie, power pop, country, reggae, british invasion and whatever else we're listening to when we’re writing the songs. Our inspiration is drawn from loves and losses, minds that harbor revolution, and how we drown our sorrows. We're here to revitalize a genre that is becoming awash in either apathy, mushy sentiment or both. Where are the revolution songs? The drinking songs?
