Burn The Boats * Dickey Hands * American Heist
Burn The Boats - (Houston, TX)
"NOT GOOD...NOT BAD, BUT NOT GOOD"

Dickey Hands (Houston, TX) - If At the Drive-in and Pennywise had a baby, it would be Dickey Hands. Low end, choppy punk riffs, speed head drum beats, psycho screaming vocals, and a few Whoa-Whoas here and there make up this experimental punk rock madness. But where did it all come from? In late 2003, Fernando and Miguel of Jalambo Chispa ripped it up for five years in the Houston Indie/Screamo scene bringing in that Latin taste to the table. Fernando's live energy was not to be messed with. His loud, precise guitar sound pleased the ears of many. Miguel's haunting, and very high pitch screams blew the heads off everyone. But a few line up changes later, Jalambo Chispa was no more. Though, not before they rocked the stage with other H-Town bands like Trigger Minor. In 2006, Jason and three friends started Trigger Minor. Jason's drumming for Trigger Minor was the back bone for Dickey Hands beginning. His facial expressions made people laugh, but his singing along with the drumming made people watch. Speed and precision made up for Trigger Minor's off beat style as well as Dickey Hands more traditional punk beats. All the talents these three musicians brought to the table have now formed the likes of Dickey Hands, a force of power in Houston's mediocre Punk scene. This psychotic three piece band, consisting of Fernando on guitar/vocals, Miguel on vocals, and Jason on drums/vocals formed in late 2007. J.T. has recently been added to line up on bass guitar to finally give Dickey Hands that missing piece of the puzzle.
American Heist (Houston, TX) - Hailing from Houston, TX, The American Heist (formerly known as "Born Anchor") formed in early 2008 when Tim Blackout, Evan Camp, Chris Boone, and Carl Chambless began rehearsals on Whitney Street. As a band they have played with the likes of Mad Sin, Fake Problems, and Reverend Horton Heat and they don't show any signs of slowing down. Although they are still unsigned, the boys recorded their first E.P. in April of 2009 in Austin, TX. CD's will be on sale soon!!!
