Empty Shells (Houston, TX)
Empty Shells is a three piece band from Houston, TX. Formed in 2013 and led by the fiery guitar playing and emotive vocals of mercurial frontman Jonathan Espeche along with the pummeling rhythm section of Michael San Luis (bass) and Austin Hand (drums).
With a sound that encompasses the immediacy and aggressiveness of the early 1990’s alternative movement, lead guitar heroics of the 1970’s, as well the atmospheric sound of shoegaze; they have taken their influences and created a sound that is uniquely their own. Their dense wall of guitar and high energy live shows have garnered them comparisons to bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Nirvana, and My Bloody Valentine.
Texas Mod Crushers (Houston, TX)
The Texas Mod Crushers are a Houston, Texas band comprised of two old rockers and two young punks. They play it loud and fast and loose. Sometimes too loud, too fast, and too loose. They love their motorbikes, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and good times. If you come to a Texas Mod Crushers show, you will have fun. Unless you have some kind of congenital fun-impairment. We can’t help with that.
Thrill (Houston, TX)
In an era of pre-fab music sensations and autotune, some fear the end of true rock and roll. Enter THRILL…three young musicians to restore your faith that the music will live on. Their musical catalog digs back to recall classics from the Ramones, Sex Pistols, Green Day, Nirvana; even doing their own take on numbers by the Beach Boys, Chuck Berry and Johnny Cash. And from that pedigree stems their own brand of teen angst-filled tunes that lie at the heart of all the great punk rockers who came before them. Rest assured, the music will live on.
