Saturday 01 June 2019 – Easy Credit Group Presents: Field of Bronze (album, release), Marijuana Sweet Tooth, Charles Peters

Field Of Bronze (Houston, TX)
Up to their knees in fields of bronze, they earn their gold. They reap the bronze for its distinctive warmth and utility and more. See “Charles Austin” and its lyrics about a cousin’s tragic death, and imagine the bronze plaques in formation on the cemetery ground. Look to references to autumn and its liminal nature, and imagine a dusky sun over a field of shimmering bronze grains. You’ve lost someone close to you, but you’ve found so much. Transition is all.
Joshua Pitt is lead singer and guitarist and primary songwriter in the trio along with Jonathan Hoffman on drums and Adam McFarland on bass. The band came together in its current form in March 2017 in Conroe, Texas (their hometown) after the death of their dear friend, Bobby Westmoreland, the original bassist. At their shows, he is a tangible presence that wrings hearts and purges souls. Indeed, childhood friends Joshua and Bobby came up in the Conroe scene together and in 2008 began writing, performing, and recording their brand of dream rock: a variety of storytelling rock n’ roll driven by dynamic compositions creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Their good friend, Jonathan, joined them in 2011 and made it whole. Adam had been recording and producing them all along, so he was a natural fit to go live with again.
Field of Bronze has one album out titled God Bless You, and Goodnight (2012) with another, Memory Potion, set to release in 2019.
The circle halves and hovers above the inverse. Fields are waiting for you to plant your universe.

r/Houston Board Gaming at Rudyard’s Pub!

Every Wednesday Night

Come have a drink, meet some interesting people, and play some awesome board games. Our meeting place is Rudyard’s Pub on Waugh. They have damn good food and a decent beer selection. Three parking lots to the North, West, and South West and some street parking a block over.

If you are new to the world of modern board games have no fear, everyone is awesome and you’ll have a great time. We have all types of games; social games with easy rules and lots of interaction or more competitive games as well as cooperative ones. TableTop on youtube is a good place to get a feel for the types of games we usually play.

We average around 30 people and we’re upstairs in the private event area.
